I had a wonderful stay at Hotel De Maitre De Vaughan in Brussels. The attention to detail in the decor was really good, creating a personal and quiet atmosphere. However, I did find it a bit odd that bathroom access was only through the main bedroom for one of the room types, which could be inconvenient for some guests.

I stayed in a Deluxe Double Room, and I found it very comfortable with a stylish layout. The spacious bathroom was a definite highlight.
Service

The service was second to none. The host was extremely friendly and attentive, making me feel very welcome during my stay.
Location

The hotel is located in a fairly quiet area, on a residential street, which was a nice escape while still being close to many popular areas in Brussels.
Dining

Breakfast featured a nice selection of hot dishes, crafted with care.
Facilities

The shared areas, including a lovely garden and well-equipped kitchen, greatly added to the charm of my stay.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel De Maitre De Vaughan, as the rooms were spacious, clean, and full of character (the elegant lounge was a nice touch too!). However, some inconveniences arose, such as being given two separate rooms instead of a family room and issues with noise from the street. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but a few improvements could enhance it further.

Rooms

The family room was comfortable and spacious, though I was surprised to receive two separate rooms instead of one. The ambiance was lovely, and the beds were quite comfortable, but we did experience some noise from the street and other guests.
Service
7.0
The service was decent, but I faced an unexpected charge for towel replacements upon arrival (6 EUR), which added a minor annoyance despite the staff being accommodating.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is advantageous, situated on a quiet residential street, just about a 10-minute walk to St. Michael Cathedral. This made it easy for me to explore without being too far from the sights.
Dining
7.0
Dining options were somewhat limited, but I appreciated the variety of facilities available, including room service and a welcoming drink upon arrival.
Facilities

The facilities were nice, with a lovely garden and common area available for relaxation. However, I found the small SMEG fridge in my room to be noisy at night, which affected my sleep.

My stay at Hotel De Maitre De Vaughan was a mixed experience. The location was fantastic, nestled in a charming quarter with easy metro access. However, I faced several issues, such as a lack of basic amenities and poor communication with the staff.

Rooms
5.0
The Deluxe Queen Room was spacious and aesthetically pleasing, though the bedding left much to be desired, with poor-quality pillows and inadequate heating during the cold nights.
Service
5.0
Unfortunately, the lack of staff presence was notable. I struggled to find someone to address the various issues I encountered, which left me feeling quite frustrated.
Location
5.0
The hotel's location was definitely a highlight, situated on a fairly quiet residential street and easily accessible to vibrant cafes and attractions nearby.
Dining
5.0
There was no breakfast provided, and nearby options were limited, especially on weekends. It would have significantly improved my stay to have some dining options available.
Facilities
5.0
While the hotel featured beautiful decor and luxurious room amenities, the absence of basic toiletries and functioning facilities was disappointing.

I had a lovely stay at Hotel De Maitre De Vaughan. The atmosphere was really good, and I appreciated the peaceful setting amidst Brussels. However, I did find that my room lacked some storage options, which could be a bother for longer trips.

Rooms

My Deluxe Double Room was clean and comfortable, with a mini fridge and an espresso machine. It offered lovely views of the garden through big windows, but I wished there were more clothes storage options.
Service

The host was incredibly friendly and attentive. I did encounter minimal staff presence at times, which gave the place a bit of a quiet vibe.
Location

It's on a residential street, which was pretty quiet and away from the touristy spots, making it a nice retreat after a day out. I could easily walk to the city center, too.
Dining

Breakfast was decent, but at €19, I felt it was a bit pricey for what I received. The options were good, though nothing too extravagant.
Facilities

The hotel offered nice extras like room service, but I didn't really get a chance to use them during my short stay.

I had an interesting stay at Hotel De Maitre De Vaughan. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, but the layout felt a bit chaotic due to the historical building's limitations. While the bathroom cleanliness could use some improvement, the large kitchen and beautiful garden area were highlights that I wished I could enjoy more, especially if I had stayed longer.

Rooms

My Family Room with Terrace was quite large and had comfortable beds. It featured a stylish and comfortable design with a large shower and bathroom. However, I noticed some minor cleanliness issues in the bathroom that could be improved.
Service
7.0
The staff I encountered were friendly, but sometimes it felt like there were rarely any staff around. I remember sitting alone for breakfast waiting for a staff member who was late due to traffic, which was a little awkward.
Location
8.0
The hotel is situated on a quiet residential street, but the immediate area doesn't have much to offer in terms of shops or cafes. However, the city center is just a short walk away, making it convenient for exploring.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was decent but overpriced at €19. I received a croissant, pain au chocolat, and a small bowl of muesli, which felt underwhelming for the cost. There are better dining options within walking distance.
Facilities

The shared lounge and garden area were lovely and well-maintained, perfect for relaxation. They also have a well-equipped kitchen, which I appreciate for longer stays.
